hard behind the scene is one of Middle Tennessee's most important
people
in weather....Michael Davis. Michael is the Information
Technology
Officer (ITO) at the National Weather Service of Nashville, TN.
One
of his duties at the NWS is maintaining the Doppler Radar; which proved
to be a life saving instrument during the April 16, 1998 tornado
outbreak and saved lives during the February 5, 2008 outbreak.
Michael is a HAM radio operator (W1ARN). Michael received his
technology training through 6 years of military service and served our
country in Operation Desert Storm.
Michael shows the KOHX radio
control center located at the National Weather Service of Nashville.
